RAX is by far the best here and AKAM may be headed for trouble as Netflix and others look for several solutions to CDN not just AKAM which is far from a perfect solution and is not the only show in town.
EQIX and others are sadly mostly glorified warehouses connected to a close by CO. I think more and more providers will pop up in remote areas that are cheaper. They don't belong in being considered part of social networking or cloud computing. They are brick and mortar and their level of sophistication and monitoring are grossly overvalued. EQIX employs all their security from Securitas who has brought up the fact they can't even employ enough people to secure the perimeter and has to manage access and clients to their most "secure" sites because EQUX doesn't even employ an employee to handle meetings and issues onsite. I understand price competitiveness is an issue, but their barebone operation mentality is terrible.

These stocks are still overvalued and professing expertise that they are not necessarily providing in value add or in large margins. Most of the data centers remain glorified warehouses with a lot of electricity and wiring. Gross margins must rise with services like Rackspace which is doing much better than the herd.

Equinix has terrible security and uses a skeleton crew Securitas staffing in order to save money. Just about all their so called security is a sham much like other data warehousers in an effort to save money. It would be nice if they actually spent time and money securing and upgrading what they are selling, not just giving lip service to it. The data warehousing market will only get bloodier later on and the overly optimistic cloud valuations will come back town to what they are, brick and mortal facilities management companies. It never ceases to amaze me about how you can slap a new marquee on a business and people think its new and different. Data warehousers almost bit the dust during the dot com era and may do so again after the cloud social media hype wears thin. Give it a year.

Data center's can't be lumped into a one size fits all industry. Those propertly expanding their offerings beyond hosting and into services and other solutions including cloud virtualization and management have a future. Those that don't will be stuck in the low margin hosting model and are overpriced.
For instance EQIX can hardly afford security for their sites while RAX can hire tons of sales and account managers to sell all manner of cloud and hosting services. The difference is night and day. So Cramer is right on half of them and dead wrong on the other half. How Cramerish. He will declare victory no matter how the dice roll. And if they all run up he will magically forget the call.
